Friendly place with good basic breakfast food. The biscuits are fluffy and fresh. Spouse who is a connoisseur of ham and. Cheese omelets, pronounced his to be very good, with flavor blending perfectly. Ask for Lucy, who really cares that you get what want and that it suits your taste.

Excellent service and great food. And great company with my husband. They make good french toast.

Excellent service! Good food, good prices! Super fast and friendly waitress. The restaurant atmosphere is a little on the older side but that lends to the overall hometown feeling atmosphere. I really enjoyed the old time burger and fries. it was cooked to my liking which was well done but it wasn't dry. My mom had the all you can eat menudo and she said it's one of the best she's ever had. The chips and salsa were great. I think the true test of a restaurant is the taste of it salsa and this one was very good. Bring cash, they don't accept credit cards . They do have an ATM, which charges a nominal fee of 99 cents, but hey if you have cash save the buck and tip the waitress. If you go on a weekend, make sure you get there early because the place is always packed. A+++

My wife and I had breakfast here, She had a traditional breakfast and I had the omelet with ham, cheese, peppers. And re-fried beans, it was very good. All the food was good and the service was very good. A large group of locals having breakfast and drinking coffee, the waitresses were very good. Will return for lunch some time.

Other Yelpers drove our breakfast choice of restaurants. This place is not fancy or classy. I loved that part of it as we walked in. Our server was a sweetheart and wanted to make sure we were happy with our orders. My wife had the Chili Rellano and she said it was the best. I had Bill's. Breakfast. A red chili with eggs. I would have given this place 5 stars for the food and service. However, the meat was a bit tough. Get that fixed and get 5 stars!

Janky looking place, if the food was not just alright, so so. 2 star at most. People with no taste and friends of Owners need to stop reviewing, please!!! I MUST SAY! Welcome to the 21st century, take a credit card! Cash only, really!? The cheesy ATM fee scam should not be in a sit down restaurant.

Lindsay A nailed this place pretty well with her First To Review (FTR). Just as she mentioned the place had some old timers around, ranchers, etc. The tall fellow in the photo left the restaurant, then turned around and came back in and asked of the whole restaurant, "Who's got the Red Sox license plate out in the lot?" After I announced that it was me we chatted for a few minutes...he was born on Cape Cod. So there really is minimal atmosphere, the prices are low and the food is good basic home cookin' with a Mexican flair. My huevos rancheros (also pictured) were darn tasty and some of the freshest refried beans I've had outside of my own kitchen. Recommended eats right off the freeway if you're seeing this on your Blackberry or I-phone yelp app...

We started out with breakfast at the Old Town before heading to the Home and Garden Show at the Convention Center. Service was fast and friendly. My wife's Huevos Rancheros which were as good as others have posted. I had the Chorizo and Egg Burrito smothered in green chile and cheese. Since it was a special of the day it came with hash browns. My breakfast was very good also. Since the place was obviously very popular, lots of the cars in the parking lot, I figured my inside dining experience would be just as good as it actually turned out to be. Will return.

pretty good service, food was good, and had a good feel to the environment.

Good food - the location of my first ever menudo experience (borrowed a couple bites from my wife - didn't have the nerve to order it myself), and despite my strong aversion to tripe, it was darn good. Had Huevos Rancheros like another poster, and concur on their rating. One note of warning however, unless it has changed, you must take cash - they do not accept cards of any sort.

Old Town (I call it the "Old Timer" because the place is typically patronized by old time ranchers and farmers who meet to talk politics, farming, and just get a cup of coffee) is a classic American and Mexican diner-style restaurant with great prices, strong drip coffee and some of the friendliest (but not too friendly) waitstaff. There's a lunch counter that the regulars sit at. Chips and salsa are complimentary with any meal, and the salsa is very good, although mild. Even when they're busy, there are plenty of seats. Never had to wait. This is home-style country cooking at it's best. Great for families, they have a senior and kids menu. The American Breakfast is one to try, as are the biscuits and gravy--I find their green chili cheeseburger, though, is one of the best in town. There aren't many frills- just good food. There's not a chance that you'll walk away hungry--but if so, there are desserts as well. I've never been able to save room, myself!

Quaint atmosphere. A true diner. I had the mexican plate which came with an enchilada, chile relleno, and a taco. The enchilada and relleno were good but I couldn't finish the taco. The beef was bland and the taco shell was stale. For some reason, this area of New Mexico has very hard (almost stale) chips and taco shells. I don't know if that's just the way they serve it here or I've just gotten very unlucky. Maybe I just compare it to the way they do their chips in South Texas too much.
